It is consistent with Palestinian Standards Preparation Instructions No. (1) of 2003 and in accordance with Standards Law No. 6/2000.
- Helping to liberalize trade and enter new markets through standardization.
- Ensuring the development of internationally agreed-upon technical specifications by experts from around the world.
- Encouraging innovation, improvement, and competition to ensure product quality.
- Reducing the cost of preparing specifications, which may require scientific research and high expertise.
- Protecting consumers from substandard goods.
- The project will be announced on the organization's website and (60) days will be allowed for comments.
- The comments will be responded to by the relevant technical committees, and the project will then be re-announced for (30) days after the amendments.
- After the deadline, the project will be presented to the technical committee for approval and submission to the Board of Directors.
International standards are adopted as Palestinian standards based on ISO Guide 21-1:2005 with the aim of:
