Golden Oil Competition Announcement
The Palestinian Standards and Metrology Institute (PSMI) announces the launch of the Golden Olive Oil Competition, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture, and the Palestinian Olive and Olive Oil Council. This competition is organized under the Golden Olive Award for Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and is proudly sponsored by:

Competition Requirements:
-
The minimum quantity of oil for participation is 100 kg for individual producers and 500 kg for cooperatives, stored in a single full container suitable for olive oil storage and compliant with food safety standards.

Individual farmers may submit one sample. Cooperatives may submit one or more samples. Bottling companies and olive presses may also submit one or more samples, provided that the source/location of the oil is clearly indicated, and the application is submitted in the name of the owner/producer.

The olive oil must be from the 2022 harvest season.
Participation Guidelines:

Submit two 250ml samples of the participating oil, taken from the specified quantities, in fully filled containers.

Complete the official application form.

Pay a participation fee of 50 NIS per submitted form.

The deadline for submitting samples is Thursday, November 17, 2022.
