Standards and Metrology Board of Directors Holds Its Second Meeting of 2022

Chaired by Mr. Khaled Al-Osaily, Minister of National Economy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Standards and Metrology Institution (PSMI), the Board held its second meeting of 2022 today. The meeting was attended by Eng. Haider Hajja, Director General of the Institution.

Key Points Discussed:

• The Board reviewed the cumulative progress report on the implementation of the institution’s executive plan through the end of the first quarter of 2022, which outlines the institution's activities and achievements during the current fiscal year.

• The Board also discussed feedback received from its members regarding the final draft of the Palestinian Electrical Installations Code, following its circulation for comments over a two-week period, in accordance with the decision made in the previous meeting. The code is to be submitted to the Council of Ministers for formal approval.

• Additionally, the Board approved the submission of the 2021 Annual Report of the Palestinian Standards and Metrology Institution to the Council of Ministers. The report includes a comprehensive overview of the institution's activities and accomplishments for the fiscal year. The Board commended the institution for its achievements over the past year.
