1. will support a general upgrading of PSI equipment (IT, metrology equipment etc.) and will allocate considerable resources to develop various services and departments to facilitate Palestine’s access to knowledge on standards, technical legislation and conformity assessment. This will result in the developed capacity of PSI’s Standards Information Centre and PSI Training Centre to provide better services to all users of standards, technical regulations, and other related services. In addition, a comprehensive upgrade of the product testing facilities and metrology department will take place. This will include comprehensive procurement of equipment based on tender dossiers prepared within the framework of the project

3. Activity A. Support for the second Phase of Computerization of PSI .
4. Activity B. Setting-up a PSI Standards Information Centre.
5. Activity C. Establishment of PSI Training Centre .
6. ·Activity D. Product testing facilities within PSI in line with internation standards.
7. Activity E. Establishment of effective and legal metrology control facilities in line with international standards.
8. Activity F. Upgrading of Industrial Metrology .

The second phase of the project

This phase, for which the allocation has been approved, includes the establishment of laboratories of interest to the institution with a value of up to 2.7 million euros.

• Developing the institution to enable it to serve and protect the Palestinian citizen and protect the Palestinian environment.
• Developing the institution to enable it to support the Palestinian economy by raising the competitiveness of national products.
