The importance of the Palestinian Quality Charter stems from its being evidence that olive oil products meet the principles of good agricultural practices and health and safety standards, as they are produced in accordance with good production requirements. Olive oil is a food product of local and global importance, and the entire world is now moving towards obtaining the finest and most distinctive products. Most olive oil-producing countries have begun to focus on the quality of production, no less important than the quantity of production.

Chemically safe agriculture focuses on minimizing pesticide use or applying it within legally permitted limits.
